The level of induced thermoluminescence (TL) in Boxian chondrite is 1. 38± 0. 02 relativeto the Dhajala meteorite. Based on the subdivision suggested by Sears et al. (1980), the petrologicaltype of Boxian chondrite is 3. 8±0. 1. The shock facies of Boxian chondrite corresponds to facies bbased on TL level and mineralogical creteria. Boxian chondrite has a natural TL level of about 207. 3± 0. 4 krad, much higher than most meteorites. It is very likely that Boxian Chondrite had an unusualhiStory involving high radiation doces and/or very low average temperature in space.
