摘要
文章首先介绍了国内关于信息业定义和结构的广义派和狭义派观点,然后在宏观分析它们的一些主要观点后,提出了作者的看法。
The paper describes first the Chinese authors' broad -sense and narrow -sense views on the definition and scope of information industry, and then, having analysed their main views, it puts forward the author's views. It holds that information industry is the total of business and institutions and related internal setups, which go in for information products' creation and service, information system construction, information technological equipment manufacture, and other information activities. The information industry consists of two major groups: (1)information service business, which again falls into two categories; traditional information service business and electronic information service business, and (2) information equipment industry. It is not suitable to put transportation, education, scientific research, etc into information industry.
