Abstract An energy plantation program was started in Sweden 15 years ago , up to nowthere are 15 thousand ha of productive energy forest, this is an unique initiative in thewhole world. The author discusses the implementation of the program by the Swedishgovernment and indicates that similar programs do not tally with the actual situation ofChina, but they can be inspiring for us.
