摘要
利用FELO8程序对远红外FEL振荡器进行数值模拟,验证了200pmFEL的可行性,得到初始小讯号增益25%,±110ps范围内的电子束时间间隔晃动对激光功率和小讯号增益影响不显著。
AbstractByuse of modified FELOS(free electron laser oscillator simulation)code,3D short pulsesimulations of waveguide FEL oscillator were done to testify the feasibility of FIR FEL underconsideration in CIAE(China Institute of Atomic Energy).The set of parameters of CIAE FELare:optical wavelength 200um,.e-beam current 15A, emjttanee 0.022cm·rad, micropulse length50ps,wiggler length 50 × 3cm, magnetic intensity 0.144T, output coupler 5%, In this paper,we i-troduce the situation of CIAE FEL oscillator and present the preliminary view of optical power,small signal gain,spectrum and optical 3D profile. The result of 25% small signal gain is ob-tained (Fig.2),and the phenomenon of optical pulse contraction from 85ps to 10ps is observed(Fig.5).The transverse profile of optical amplitude is cosine in waveguide direction(Fig.6),which suggests that fundamental mode is still dominant in waveguide condition. We also calcu-late the influences of electron micropulse time jitter,emittance and current on the optical powerand small signal gain. It shows that the time jitter of ± 10ps comparing 50ps duration of the elec-tron nucropulse is permissible for lasing which degrades small signal gain and laser powerlittle(Fig. 2 and Fig.7a).The e-beam current and emittance influence the small signal gainmuch, and therefore are crucial to the lasing of the FEL oscillator
