摘要
根据地震有感区地动位移和震级的关系,本文阐述了利用Ⅳ度有感区等效圆半径估算宏观震级的方法,初步解释了它的物理基础。同极震区烈度估算震级的方法结合运用,可以提高历史地震震级厘定的置信度。 华北地区历史地震震级试算的结果表明,现行历史地震目录中强震震级值可能存在偏高估计的现象。
According to the relations between the magnitude and the maximum displacement of ground motion in the sensible shock area,a method of the macro-magnitude estimated through the use of equivalent radius of the sensible shock area is discussed. And its physical basis is explained preliminarily:In combination of this method with the magnitude determined through the use of the meizoseismic intensity,the magnitude reliability originally deteomined of historical earthquakes can be improved.In this paper, values of macro-magnitude are estimated for historical earthquakes in North China,and compared with magnitude values currently published by 'The Catalogue of Earthquake's in China'inwhich the magnitudes of historical earthquakes may generally higher than those estimated by the method mentioned in this paper.
