摘要
针对一种新兴的Native XML数据库(NXD)进行了探讨并提供了应用实例。概述了Native XML数据库研究和发展的现状,及Native XML数据库的含义。重点叙述了NativeXML数据库的基本概念、主要特性以及它与其它传统数据库在应用层面上的优缺点比较。并对Native XML数据库的应用领域进行了分析,以Tamino数据库系统为例,介绍了Native XML数据库的功能及应用。
This paper mainly discusses a new kind of database, the Native XML Database, and offers a practical instance . The paper summarizes the research and development of Native XML Database, expatiates the definition of NXD, and mainly illustrates the fundamental conception, main features of it. It also compares Native XML Database with other traditional databases on an application layer, and analyses the advantages and disadvantages. Moreover, the paper analyses the application fields of NXD, gives an example of Tamino XML database system to demonstrate the function and application of Native XML Database. At last, this paper gives an expectation of NXD＇s development.
