盐城是自盐起步、因盐设县、由盐兴旺的出产盐的名城。盐阜先民孕育的海盐文化,渗透进了盐城的历史、盐政、经济、地名和盐民的性格、文艺、民俗等各个领域。
Just as its name suggests, Yaneheng City was named after its salt production. The sea-salt culture of the Yanfu Region could find its trace in the city＇s history, administration, economy, place names, character of the local local people, art, manners and customs, etc..
