摘要
图书的起源、形成与编辑工作是密不可分的。本文论述了我国古代六个时期，包括春秋一东汉末年、战国末期至西汉后期、隋唐时期、宋代时期、元代明代时期、清代时期的典籍名作、出版概况和特征、编辑名仕、编辑思想和准则等，充分展示了中华２０００年的丰富文化史和高度文明史，并总结出当今图书编辑出版事业值得借鉴的几条基本经验。
The origin and formation of books and compilatory word are indivisable. The article discusses the ancient books and records, editorial survey and features, famous persons in compilation, editorial thinkings and rules and so on about the six periods in ancient times of China Spring and Autumn period to the ending period of Eastern Han, the ending period of Warring States to the late period of Western Han, Sui and Tang Dynasties, Song Dynasty, Yuan and Ming Dynasties and Qing Dynasty-which have shown China's 2000 years' glorious histry of rich cultute and high civilization and summarized some basic experience in which we can make use of for the recent compilatory and publishing cause of books.
