Abstract Thirty-six partial hepatectomies were performed for sympromatic intrahepatic stones. Thepart of liver containing the structure and dilationducts and stones was resected.The additional procedures were combined with partial hepatectomy,i, e, Common duct exploration and drainage orcholangiotomy and cholangioplasty and cholangeoenterostomy. Postoperative long- term follow-upshowed that 86.2% were satisfactory. Partial hepatectomy can be considered as a better treatmeatof choice for the stones confined to one segmentor lobe and multiple structures of the ducts in the involved portion of the liver.
