采用相位共轭干涉法测定饱和吸收染料高分子膜三次非线性极化率的位相

Determination of χ~(3)'s Phase of Suturable Absorption Dye-Doped Polymeric Films by Optical Phase Conjugate Interferometric Method

摘要 发展了一种新型相位共轭干涉法可用于简单方便地测定介质三次非线性极化率(χ(3))的相位。文中用这种方法研究了二种染料掺杂高分子膜χ(3)的相位,发现由饱和吸收效应产生的χ(3)的相位,当波长远离吸收峰时,由─π/2趋于─π,而由光到漂白效应产生的χ(3)的相位都落在─17/18π附近。 An improved method involving three optical phase conjugators for measuring the phase of complex third-order nonlinear susceptibility (χ(3) ) directly has been developed. The χ(3)'s phases of two saturable absorption dye-doped polymers, i. e.,Eosin Y/polyvinyl alcohol (Eo/PVA ) and Erythrosin B/polyvinyl acohol (Er/PVA)have been measured by using this method. We found that their χ(3)'s phases originating from saturable absorption effect has a tendency approaching to - π from -π/2 as the wavelength used goes far away from the absorption peak. Otherwise, χ(3)'s phase originating from dye-bleached effect was about-17/18π.
