冷冻睫状体可导致眼压下降早在1950年已由Biett发现,对青光眼病人于睫状体部行中等冷冻后立即引起水肿和血管充血,使上皮破裂而致睫状体血流下降,房水生成减少,从而使眼压降低。由于技术原因,直到60年代中期才开始广泛应用于临床。我们自1986年以来。
This article deals with 15 glaucoma cases (17 eyes), which could be neither cured with surgery nor medicine but responded to cyclocryotherapy. Out of these cases, 11 eyes were cured and 2 eyes got better than before. The effectiveness rate reached 76.47 percent. The pressure of the other 4 eyes unsuccessfully cured was controlled by means of a combined operation on glaucoma, cataract and an iris-burning surgery.The authors point out the cryotherapy for glaucoma has such advantages as simple and safe operation, with no scar left and repetition of the treatment available. The most satisfactory equipment for the cryotherapy is considered to be a low degree multi-function machine with a time clock device, a degree monitor and a siren, and with liquid nitrogen as its cold source.
