The Light Threshold in Bjerrum Area in Normal Eyes

摘要 Bjerrum区是早期青光眼视野缺损的好发区域。为什么Bjerrum区对高眼压损害特别敏感这一问题,一直倍受关注。Lynr(1975)提出。 Using automatic perimeter, threshold program, the light threshold was determined on preselected 42 points, with 2 degree apart, on 15 degree circle in Bjerrum area on 107 normal eyes. It was found that there was a decline in sensitivity with age, and there was a significant difference in the mean threshold among four quadrants of the field(p<0.01). The latter may be the reason why retinal quadrants were incosistently affected by hypertension. Also, the study suggested that the reduction in sensitivity on the upper and lower pole of the optic disc be related to the enlargement or baring of blind spot, which may be present in both glaucoma and normal eyes.
