By means of sink-float comparameter the density variation during orystal-lization of Li_3O-Al_2O_3-SiO_2 glass ceramics was studied.The results showed that the glass-ceramic density depended upon cryatalline phases and their relative ratio.Furthermore there exists close relation between density and thermal expansion of glass-ceramic,The authors point out that the density determination is of great importance for optimization of heat treatment and quality control during orystallization of large size or zeroexpansion glass-ceramic prodliots.
