摘要
玻璃陨石发现于电白县小良乡的冲积层中,呈黑色—沥青黑色,相对密度为2.34—2.37,玻璃—沥青光泽,条痕无色,摩氏硬度为6—6.5。在偏光镜下观察为均质体,油浸法测得折光率约为1.503~1.506(t=14℃)。陨石表面布满了大小不等、形状各异的气孔,陨石本身的形状为圆形、长柱状圆形、扁豆状等。陨石的化学成分(平均值):SiO_2 74.956,Al_2O_3 12.486,(FeO+Fe_2O_3)4.346,CaO 1.934,MgO 1.872,MnO 0.072,TiO_2 0.7,K_2O 2.588,Na_2O 0.806。
Tektite was discovered in the Quaternary alluvium of Dianbai, Guangdong. Colout pitch-black, opaque, size 33.5×22×3.5 to 68.5×19.5×15.6 mm, strong glassy-greasy luster, streak colourless, Mohr's 6-6.5, N=1.503-1.506, specific gravity 2.34-2.36.Under, the polarizing microscope it is of brown colour, but under the crossed nicoles tektite is amorphous.The chemical composition (average) of five grains of tektite determined on a JEOL-733 electron probe microanalyser is as follows: SiO_2 74.956%, Al_2O_3 12.486%, (FeO+Fe_2O_3) 4.346%, CaO 1.934%, MgO 1.872%, MnO 0.072%, TiO_2 0.7%, K_2O 2.588% and Na_2O 0.806%, The total sum is 99.76%.
