摘要
本文观察了９８例母乳喂养新生儿在出生后第４天时体重的变化规律并与人工喂养的新生儿进行了比较。结果表明母乳喂养组生后第４天的平均体重比出生时体重有明显增加（２８５６．６０±６２．９２Ｖｅｒｓ３１０１．００±３７．９９克，Ｐ＜０．０５）．而人工喂养组未显示任何差异（Ｐ＞０．０５）母乳喂养组５０％的新生儿在生后第４天体重较出生时增加，２５．５％表现体重减少；而人工喂养组有５４．５％的新生儿显示体重下降，２０．８％体重增加，两组比较差异显著（ｐ＜０．０５）。结果表明，母乳喂养的足月新生儿因开奶早，按需哺乳对纠正出生后生理性不显性脱水有重要作用。
The effect of breast feeding on the body weighe was studied in 98 newborns in comparison with that of 125 new babies on artificial feeding. The results showed that breast feeding offered significant weight gaining in the newborns on the 4th day after delivery while that of the artificial feeding group at the same time had no statistical difference.In the breast feeding group,50%of the babies gained and 25.50% lost their weight on the 4th day whereas 20.80% obtained and 54.50% diminished their weight in the artificial feeding group.It was clear that newborns on breast feeding lost less weight and regained their weight sooner than the artificial feeding ones after delivery.The study disagreed with the traditional point of view that babies would lose their weight physically a few days after delivery simply because of the loss of bodyfluids.
