摘要
泥盆纪“川鄂浅海”与外界海域的通道,早在五十年代初就引起人们的关注,先后提出有四条,本文就其可靠性一一作了评述,并进一步以较丰富的地层、岩相、古生物和构造等方面的资料为依据,新提出了一条穿越“江南古陆”与“湘中南浅海”相通的“桃临海峡”。
The channels between Sichuan-Hubei Shallow Sea and open sea in Devonian have been discussed since the early 1950s. Four possible channels were put forth one after another. This paper comments respectively on the reliability of each channel and still further, according to the analysis of abundant data from stratigraphy, facies analysis, palaeontology and tectonic geology. It is proposed that a new chamel called 'Tao-Ling Channel' crossed the 'Jiangnan Oldland' and was connected with the 'Central-South Hunan Shallow Sea'.
