摘要
介绍了新型材料的特点，举例说明有色和稀有金属新材料的进展，指出面向21世纪的有色金属新材料的发展趋势是：结构材料正在向高性能化发展；功能材料向精细、微型、集成化发展；金属基复合材料的研究与发展是新材料研究中一个十分活跃的领域。还指出国际上材料科学的前沿课题以及我国在新型材料的研究与发展方面存在的问题。
The Characteristics of the nonferrous metal new materials and some development examples are intreduced. The developing trend for the nonferrous metal new materials in the 21st century is predicted. The structure materials are developing to the high properties,and the functional materials are developing to be more fine,tiny and more integrated. The research and development of the metal matrix composites are a very active field in the new materials research. The frontier subjects of international material science and the Problems exited in the area ofthe research and development of new materials in China are also indicated.
