摘要
外交活动是李鸿章政治生涯的重要组成部分,“外须和戎,内须自强”是李鸿章的外交思想,李鸿章理智地看待弱国外交,把“自强”作为外交根本之计,把“和戎”作为实现自强的手段。这是符合近代社会历史条件的,是近代外交的明智之举,而不能简单地斥之为“卖国”。
Diplomatic activity is the main part of Li Hongzhang's political life. His diplomatic idea is to settle nations' issues in a peaceful way and to strive to make our country stronger. Li Hongzhang reasonably treated the diplomacy of a weak nation. He considered it the key of diplomacy to make our country stronger,and he considered the peaceful settlement to be the means of making our country stronger. It tallied with modern social history situation . It is wise in modern diplomacy,We can't simply denounce it as betrayal.
