摘要
在港口、马坳幅１：５万区调中，运用沉积学和地层学的新理论、新方法对区内地层进行了综合研究。在岩石地层学、生物地层学、层序地层学和沉积古地理等方面都取得了重要进展。本文重点阐述了新建岩石地层单位湾头组与新湾群。对区内下古生界地层进行了层序地层分析，并简要介绍了生物地层学方面的新资料。
By using some new theories and methods of sedimentology and strati-graphy to study comprehensively the strata of the region in the 1 : 50,000Regional Geological Survey,some important advances in lithostratigraphy,biostratigraphy ,sequence stratigraphy and sedimentary palaeogeographyhave been got.In this paper, the authors discuss the two new lithostrati-grphic units:Wantou Formation and Xinwan Group in details,and ana-lyze the sequence stratigraphy of the lower Palaeozoic in the region,then introduce in short some new materials in biostratigraphy.
