摘要
文章从语用翻译的视角,在背景知识方面探讨了“文化补遗”在英汉翻译中的必要性和重要性,并进而指出语用翻译中的“文化补遗”不仅能达到译文与原文的语用等值,而且还能传播文化,促进中西方的相互了解。
Based on the theory of pragmatic translation, the author has done research into the necessity and vitality of 'cultural addendum' of background knowledge in English-Chinese or Chinese-English translation. The author further points out that 'cultural addendum' in pragmatic translation can not only achieve pragmatic equivalence between source language and target language, but also spread culture and promote the mutual understanding between China and the West.
