摘要
衡阳盆地为华南地区一大、中型的中新生代沉积盆地,堆积有厚逾5km的白垩-第三纪地层。在盆地中部瓦园晏家至向阳桥一带有发育良好的地层剖面,利于开展磁性地层学研究。笔者沿这一剖面系统地采集和测量古地磁样品,建立了这些地层的磁极性序列,并以地磁极性年代表为时间标尺确定了各地层单元形成的磁极性时。从而确定神皇山组为早白垩世晚期-晚白垩世早期;戴家坪组为晚白垩世中、晚期;东塘组为古新世早期。
Hengyang Basin is a medium Mesozoic-Cenozoic sedimentary basin in South China in which Creta- ceous-Tertiary be measured over 5 km thick, but its stratigraphic dividing and correlating have been dis- puting for a long time. 810 samples have been collected from Yanjia-Xiangyangqiao profile at the central part of the basin. Based upon paleomagnetic and geologic studing, we have successfully set up the magnetopolaritic columnar section of the profile. Referring to the geomagnetic polarity time table of W. B. Harland, the magnetic chrons of this section are defined and the ages of these strata are further determined. It is as- sumed that the ages of Shenghuangshan Fm, Daijiaping Fm, and Dongtang Fm are belong to late Early Cretaceous/early Late Cretaceous, middle-late Late Cretaceous and early Paleocene respectively.
