HRP was delivered into lateral nucleus magnocellularis of anterior neostriatum(1MAN),medial MAN and area X of lobus parolfactorius respectively.The results indicate that 1MAN projects to nucleus robustus archistriatalis(RA).It receives projections from medial portion of the dorsolateral nucleus of the anterior thalamus(DLM),and from locus ceruleus of pons(LoC).The mMAN projects to hyperstriatum ventral,pars caudale(HVc).It also receives projections from LoC.Area X projects to DLM.It receives projections from HVc,ventral area of Tsai and from LoC.These connections may be involved in the vocal learning and memory.
