摘要
本文在分析江苏及邻区半个多世纪以来,有关新生代玄武岩的文献资料的基础上,对江苏地区地表无早第三纪玄武岩这一结论,提出疑问;然后找出线索,进行探索,以地质与玄武岩岩石学的证据,表明江苏地区地表有早第三纪玄武岩,而且不止一个层位.这一结论得到玄武岩K—Ar年今测定资料的支持.
This paper after put a question to the conclusion which 'There are no basalt outcrop of early Tertiary period on the surface in Jiangsu regions',and makes a exploration on the question and raws a conclusion that 'There are some basalt outcrop of early Tertiary period on the surface in Jiangsu region' according to the evidence of geology and basalt petrology. Fortunately,this conclusion is supperted by the data of K-Ar dating of basalt.
