摘要
191 7年到 1 92 0年是中国新文学理论发难、探讨以及初步形成的重要时期。在这一时期内 ,以《新青年》为阵营 ,围绕着文学革新问题分成了以陈独秀、胡适为代表的两大文学改良派系。本文试图通过还原、分析这两大改良派系的分歧、对立 ,来说明陈独秀、胡适的文学主张分别代表了新文学发生期的两种不同建设思路和模式 ;进而说明中国新文学中的两大创作阵营——“为人生派”与“为艺术派”分别是陈独秀、胡适艺术思想的承担者、实践者。
The period between 1917 and 1920 is a very important formative period for Chinese new literature. During that period of time, ideas for literary refor m were divided into two schools, represented respectively by Chen Duxiu and Hu S hi. This article intends to represent and analyze the original version of the co ntroversies, to illustrate the two contending notions and patterns represented b y Chen Duxiu and Hu Shi. Furthermore, this article also tries to clarify that th e two literary camps—— 'art for life sake' and 'art for art sake' ——are actu ally practitioners of Chen Duxiu's and Hu Shi's theories. In the other words, al l t he l oves and hates, rights or wrongs happened in Chinese new literature period can f ind expression in these two persons.
