摘要
我国西北的甘、宁、青地区是强震活动十分突出的地区之一,历史上曾发生多次8级以上地震。但在1966—1976年我国大陆上一个地震活动高潮中该区却十分平静,预测在下一强震活动幕中西北地区可能成为强震的主体活动地区。北西向构造可能是强震发生的主要场所,强震发生于大震破裂区闭锁段上的可能性较大。1977年以来上述地区出现的中强地震活动增强和呈带分布已构成强震发生的背景异常,应密切注意该地区中小地震活动图象的变化。
Gansu-Ningxia-Qinghai region is one of the rather prominant regions of strong seismic activity in Northwest China, many earthquakes with M>8.0 occurred in history. However, during the last seismic activity climax in China mainland in 1966-1976, this region is quite quiet. It is calculated that the northwestern region will probably become a principal part of the active region of strong earthquakes during the next episode of strong seismic activity, the NW-trend-ing tectonic structures is probably the main place where strong shocks will occur in the locked segment of the fractured region of great earthquakes. Since 1977, the increase of moderately strong earthquakes in the above region and the banded distribution of them have a 'eady formed the background anomaly of strong earthquake occurrence, so the variations of microseismic pattern in this region should be closely noted.
