Based on the research of growing candida in alcohol, distillage for production, a semi-directed breeding method was used to in crease the protein and methionine contents in candida cell, In the result, the protein contents of the desired mutants Was increased by 14% in average, meanwhile, the methionine content in one of the mutants was increased by 40%.
