四川杂交水稻生产的回顾与展望

Review and Outlook for Hybrid Rice Production in Sichuan Province

摘要 回顾18年杂交水稻发展的历程,阐述杂交水稻推广在粮食增产中的作用,提出今后杂交水稻生产发展的战略思路。 The development of hybrid rice peoduction in Sichuan Province can be generally grouped into three stages. The first stage from 1976 to 1977 was mainly on the multiplication of seeds,experimental and demonstrative production, selection of combinations and technical training. In the second stage called inten-sively-developing stage from 1978 to 1984, the grown area of hybrid rice was increased very swiftly with a yearly increase of 253 thousand hectares. In 1984,the area under hybrid rice was up to 1831 thousand hectares,which occupied 58%of the total rice grown area. The yield in hybrid rice commercial production in-creased from 5.8t/ha in 1978 to 7.3t/ha in 1983; and that in hybrid seed production rose from 192 kg/ha in 1977 to 1. 79t/ha in 1984. The third stage,namely steadily developing stage, was mainly on expanding thegrowing area for hybrid rice,perfecting cultural techniques and management, renewing the hybrid combina-tions timely. Till 1991,the acreage of hybrid rice had risen to 2825. 6 thousand hectares accounting for 90.8%of rice area, which was almost saturated for hybrid rice, with the average yield at 7. 25g/ha. The experiences on successfully developing hybrid rice in the province are as follows :(1)Well arranging,selecting and timely renewing the combinations.(2) Building up a sound system of seed propogation, distribu-tion and extension.(3) Adopting appropriate cultural techniques based on the physiogical characterisitics of hybrid combinations.(4) Holding the correct developing tendency and timely solving the problems encoun-tered.Developing hybrid rice will be still a very important way in increasing and stablizing the food production in Sichuan Province and with its technology improved, hybrid rice will show a greater yield-increasing potential.
