摘要
阐述了江苏省杂交水稻的发展经历了４个阶段，即引进试种阶段（１９７６～１９７８），稳步发展阶段（１９７９～１９８２），巩固提高阶段（１９８３～１９８７）和迅速发展阶段（１９８８～１９９３）。现在年种植面积已超过１１００万亩，最高年份达１５９９．６万亩。论述了杂交水稻在粮食增产中的作用。
The development of hybrid rice has experienced four periods, namely, the period of introduc-tion and demonstration(1976～1978),the stably-developing period(1979～1982), the consolidating period (1983～ 1987) and the intensively-developing period(1988～1993); In 1991, the planted area of hybrid ricerose to the highest, an annual acreage of 1. 04 million hectares accouting for 45.4%of rice grown area in theprovince. For these years the annual area under hybrid rice has been above 0. 73 million hectares. Because ofthe early maturity of hybrid rice and its higher yielding ability than the conventional rice with common maturi-ty, its extension promoted the reforming of cropping system, consequently made the annual output of cropsper unit area increased and resulted in a yield increase in the food production of the province.
