Application of biotechnology in poultry breeding

摘要 传统的家禽育种综合了数量遗传学、繁殖生理学、统计学、计算机科学和家禽管理学等学科的特点,共同指导并完成了家禽的遗传改良。为了更好地满足市场对家禽日益提高的要求,育种家有必要借助于分子遗传学、有关的技术鉴别和克隆影响经济性状的主效基因,或发现与这些基因紧密连锁的标识基因,更有效的选择和培育种鸡。在当前家禽育种中应用最广的生物技术方法主要有两项:分子标记技术和基因转移技术。文章就目前应用于家禽育种的分子标记技术和基因转移方法作以综述。 Based on the theory and methods of quantity genetics, breeding physiology, statistics, computer science and poultry administrant science, the traditional poultry breeding has made great progress during the past half century. With the help of molecular genetics and correlative technologies, more great improvement on poultry production performance will be made. The key issues are to identify the major genes that affect the economic traits and to use these genes in practical breeding program. Two biotechnology methods, molecular marker technology and gene transfer technology, are thought to be applied widely in poultry breeding in the future. This paper reviewed the research progress and gave comments on the two biotechnology approaches.
