活性炭吸附甲苯的实验研究及数值模拟 被引量:6

Experimental and modeled results describing the adsorption of toluene onto activated carbon

摘要 在15,20,25℃的恒温条件下,实验测试了活性炭吸附有机气体甲苯的吸附穿透曲线和吸附区温度变化曲线.然后根据吸附过程中的传质、传热机理,建立了吸附过程中的数学模型,并应用差分方法借助A-THENAVIUALWORKBENCH对模型进行了数值解,数值模拟了相应温度下的活性炭吸附有机气体甲苯的浓度穿透曲线及其温度穿透曲线,数值计算结果与实验结果很好地相吻合.数学模拟方法为获得在吸附过程中有效传质系数和有效传热系数提供了有效的解决途径,从而为吸附过程的设计、预测和优化提供支持. Adsorption experiments of toluene on activated carbon were measured by time integration of the break-through curves of concentration and temperature at 15, 20, 25°C by using an apparatus developed for this purpose. According to the mechanism of mass transfer and heat transport in the adsorption processes, the mathematical models of mass equilibrium, dynamic equilibrium, energy equilibrium, and adsorption equilibrium are established, which are calculated by finite differences method by courtesy of software Athena Visual Workbench, adsorption process of toluene on activated carbon were numerically simulated by time integration of the break-through curves of concentration and temperature at 15, 20, 25°C. The simulated numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental results. Mathematical model method offered effective solution for the effective coefficients of matter transfer and heat transfer to forecast and optimize the adsorption process.
