Background Analysis for an Associated Particle Method to Measure the Neutron Fluence Rate From the T(d,n)^(4)He Neutron Source

摘要 T(d,n)4He反应单能中子源广泛应用于14 MeV中子的各种物理实验。采用伴随粒子法测量中子注量率,用金硅面垒探测器测量α粒子,用1μm厚Al箔屏蔽散射的d束,经过各种条件下的调节,系统可很好地直接在能谱上分辨各种粒子,从而获得较高精度的中子注量率。 The T(d,n)4He reaction was often used as a source of monoenergy neutrons with about 14 MeV in some experiments. To measure the neutron fluence rate the associated particle method for the T(d,n)4He reaction was used. The Au-Si detector was used to detect 4He particles, and the Al-foil with 1.0 μm was used to shield the deuterons scattered from target. Through adjusting to device at some conditions, the system can discriminate clearly all kinds of particles and get a high precision neutron fluence rate.
