摘要
本文采用天然方解石分离出两束偏振方向互相垂直的线偏光,分别经过YIG45°法拉第旋转器,再经过45°天然旋光片,设计出一种光环行器。该器件比国外利用 Glan 棱镜只分出一束线偏光或使用人造双折射晶体制作的光环行器,具有损耗低、成本低等优点。本文设计了结构相似,分别适用于1.3μm 和1.55μm 波长的两种器件。
This paper describes a way to design an optical circulator. That is,using natural calcite to separate two beam of line polarized light whose polarization directions are vertical,passing through YIG 45°Faraday revolver then the 45°natural optical revolver. Comparing with the optical circulator made in foreign countries using Glan prism only to separate one beam of line polarized light or using artificial birefraction crystal,this device possesses low loss, low cost and other advantages.This paper designs two kinds of devices whose structures are similar and are suited to wavelength of 1.3μm and 1.55μm respectively.
