摘要
在中国美学翻译史上 ,朱光潜的名字恐怕是要重重写上一笔的。其他方面姑且不论 ,单就《美学》及《新科学》两部巨制的翻译 ,已足以奠定他在我国美学翻译领域不可替代的开拓地位了。遗憾的是 ,尽管翻译成就斐然 ,他的努力却未引起人们的足够重视。鉴于此 ,本文依据史实 ,拟对作为翻译家的朱光潜进行详细的探讨 ,并就其在我国美学翻译及翻译研究领域所做出的贡献进行客观的评价和定位。
This paper is devoted to an impartial discussion of Zhu Guangqian, a prolific scholar-translator who has cut a momentous figure in the marketplace of translation with his valued theoretical pondering and his still pioneering Chinese versions of Hegel’s A¨sthetik and Vico’s Scienza Nueva. The author hopes that the inspired exemplification in Zhu Guangqian will illuminate those of later generations who have chosen to pursue translation as their lifetime career and that the systematic research will be of some avail to the related integral studies.
