摘要
本文概述了近十多年来美国图书馆学教育陷入困境的原因,指出我国图书馆学教育应以美国为鉴,加快改革步伐,尽快为各类文献与信息服务部门培养适应社会主义市场经济及社会发展需要的人才。
This paper summerizes the factors causing the decline of the American library education during the past ten years or more. and stresses the necessity of taking the initiative in improving the current mechanism and speeding up the reform of the library education in China. The paper also emphasizes the importance of training qualified personnel in the fields of documentation and information in order to meet the needs of the socialist market economy and social development.
