摘要
作为英语学习主要途径的阅读以及阅读现状均差强人意，而从阅读着手，提高英语教学质量，乃是培养学生较强的语用能力的关键。以有关阅读理论为指导，对目前的阅读现状进行剖析，可以找出问题的症结，进而找到解决问题的出路。
Seen from the actual performance of students in TEM4 , TEM8, CET6 and the like, the present teaching of Extensive Reading is not flawless. Some reasons are found in the teaching staff, the learners, the teaching materials and even the teaching methodology, then some remedial measures are proposed.
