here were 6 cases of prolapse of high lumbar intervertebral
disc reported. Four cases of them un-derwent surgical operation. Its clinical manifestation
included an obvious history of lumbar traumaand strain(4/6).severe lumbocrural pain(3cases
unableto lie flat),high positive rate of femoral ne-rve streching test(4/6),severe muscle
paralysis.of lower limb muscle power under IIl grade(4/6),widespread sensory disturbance Of
lower limb(5/6),disturbance of spincter. The paper analysed the se-vere symptoms and
widespreasd tenderness. Lumbar vertebrae plain X一film and myelography aswell as CTM
were important diagnostic mcasures.Surgical operation was adopted to remove the
com-pressive factors
