The samples of rare phyllosilicate mineral assemblage were taken from the borehole of Tubaoshan,Liyang County. According to the chemical,Xray diffraction and infrared spectroscopic analysis,the mineral assemblage with light yellow and slippery, which occurred in vein and was named as brucitite,is considered as a assemblage composed of apophyllite,talc and serpentine.Both talc and serpentine consist of a mixed layer, which is a unusual phenomenon in nature. The formation mechanism of the phyllosilicate mineral assmblage is that talc and serpentine were firstly formed under the condltion of the reaction between sufficient silica ,water and dolomite and then apophyllite has formed by adding K+ and F in course of magmatic activity, which conforms with geological conditions. The phyllosilicate minerats formed in near surface ,is a product of low-temperature hydrothermal alteration.
