摘要
“宝林冲组”系笔者于１９８８年新建的一个岩石地层单位。它的建立，对同时期的区域地层对比、地质构造与沉积环境分析，具有重要意义。新建组名后，大家对有无建组（名）的必要、顶部界线标志及其在地层柱中的位置等提出了一些异议。因此，笔者侯文再谈“宝林冲组”及其建组的必要性，希望通过讨论取得共识。
Based on the principle of modern stratigraphy author established in 1988 a new stratigraphic u- nit,the 'Baolincong formation″. Its establishment has an important significance in the regional stratigraphic cor- relation,analysis of tectonics and sedimentary environment within certain period.There has arisen some differ- enrt opiniOns or comments on the new formation:is it necessarv to establish the formation? what is the index of its top limit?and where should it be about its position on the stratigraphic column?Hence, author once again gives a talk about the'Baolincong formation'and the 'must”for the establishment and hope that through dis cussIon there will be a coincidance,in this problem,with all wbo concern this suhect.
