本文介绍了中国第一颗极轨试验型气象卫星发展概况及主要技术性能。
On September 7th, 1988, China launched successfully its first experimental polar me-teorological satellite, named Feng Yun-1. The satellite entered a circular solar-synchronous orbit and the instruments aboard operated in order. This article outlines the evolution of China's first experimental polar meteorological satellite, shows its main performances and gives a description of its applications in the national economical construction.
