摘要
本文利用X光衍射分析技术对西沙群岛中新世生物礁钻井岩芯的矿物相作定性—定量研究,揭示了礁体矿物相组成、白云石矿物相特点,讨论了石英矿物的成因与意义等。笔者认为,探讨生物礁碳酸盐岩矿物相构成及其它有关问题,为直接研究岩石的演化与成岩、所经历古环境—古海洋事件以及白云化机制等提供了准确参数,因而具有十分重要的理论和实际意义。
As we know,X-ray powder diffraction analysis is an effective method to study car-bonate rocks. The method is used in this paper to study the mineral facies of drilledMiocene reefs in Xisha Islands.A concept of mineral sedimentary facies is put forward inthis paper. The reef mineral compositions and origins of dolomite,calcite and quartz aremade clear by rock slice and atomic absorption spectrum researches.It is firstly con-firmed that in this area dolomite is in low order and containing Mg ̄(2+). And very proba-bly,it is an imperfect dolomite. Quartz comes from autogeny,wind accumulation and vol-canogenic sedimentation. The appearance of minerals(such as quartz)produced by fresh-water and mixed water near different interfaces of sedimentary gaps is of geologic signif-icance of environment and events.
