摘要
本文根据三年多来聋儿康复专家系统的研究实践，提出了“广域专家系统”的思想。文章初步阐述了广域专家系统的概念、结构、实现技术以及开发方法论；并且介绍了一个广域专家系统实例。文章认为，广域专家系统的研究与应用有着重要的理论意义和诱人的应用前景，将成为专家系统今后很有希望的研究与发展方向之一。
Most current ES products are developed to serve in a very narrow domain. such as diagnosis of a certain kind of disease. etc. This paper proposes a new idea about Broad-Domain Expert Systems(BDES). which incorporates knowledge from several disciplines to solve one problem. The concept. characteristics. and advantages of BDES are introduced. then a tentative architecture developed by the authurs is presented. The implementation techniques and development methodologies are also briefly discussed. with the listing of topics for future research. To illustrate this new concept. the paper finally studies an ES case─the Deaf Children's Rehabilitation Expert System. in which the idea of BDES originated. The authurs believe that BDES opens a new promising perspective for future ES research and application.
