摘要
紫果西番莲和黄果西番莲的核型公式分别为２ｎ＝２ｘ＝１８＝１４ｍ＋４ｓｍ和２ｎ＝２ｘ＝１８＝１４ｍ（２ＳＡＴ）＋４ｓｍ，按Ｓｔｅｂｂｉｎｓ的核型分类，属于２Ａ和１Ａ型．两者之间并无明显差异，均是较原始的类型．
The karyotype formula of Passiflora edulis and P.edulis f.flavicarpawere 2n= 2x=18=14m+4sm and 2n=2x=18=14m 4sm and 2n= 2x =18=14m,respectively.According to Stebbins's standards of karyotype calssification,P.edulis should be 2A-type and P.edulis f.flavicarpa belongs to 1A-type.How ever.there is no significantly difference of the karyotypes between two forms.Both of them are quite original during the evolution of passion fruits.
