摘要
系统论述长江中下游地区土壤矿物组成的特点及其与该地区气候条件及成土母质条件间的关系，并深入论述土壤矿物组成对土壤肥力的影响。
The resent paper dea1s with mineral composition of main types in relation tosoil fertility in middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.The ratio ofquartz to feldspar of yellow cinnamon soil developed from Xiashu loess tends toincrease from west to east and north to south.x-ray diffraction patterns demonstrated that hydrous mica is the predominant clay mineral,accompanied by somesmectite,2:1 and l :l irregular interstratified minerals,kaolinite,and smallamount of chrolite and vermiculite. Clay mineral composition of red soils underdifferent biogeographical conditions presents striking differences.
