2cm范围非牛顿引力的机械共振法检验

Test of Non-Newtonian Gravitational Force at a Distance around 2cm with the Mechanical Resonance Method

摘要 提出的用机械共振法检验非牛顿引力的实验方案综合了D.R.Long的双环实验和机械共振法的优点,可望在高精度情况下检验2cm作用范围的非牛顿引力.理论分析和数值计算表明,该方案可使在这一作用范围内的非牛顿引力实验达到2.8×10^(-4)的相对精度. A new Cavendish torsion balance experiment for testing the non-Newtonian gravitational force at a distance around 2 cm is proposed. With the advantages of using a ring as the attracting mass when the interaction distance can be shortened down to 2 cm or less and using the mechanical resonance method when the amplitude of the torsion balance can be amplified by Q times, it is expected that the test of the Newtonian inversesquare law of gravity can be carried out at a high accuracy of about 2. 8×10-4. Numerical reanalysis on D. R, Long' s double-ring experiment shows that some errors have been introduced into his numerical integration. So the conclusion of his experiment is doubtful.
