The second trend was the increased rate at which relatively small, new entrepreneurial firms were generating radical innovations and take them to markets. At the same time, mature, manufacturing - based industrial found them with a re-duced capacity for radical innovation . Radical new products play an important role in building competitive advantage and can cont-ribute significant to a firm' s growth and profitability . To regain competitiveness in the marketplace, these companies want to in-crease their capacity of discover, develop and commercialize radi-cal innovation. Our goal is to contribute to the knowledge base about radical innovation and provide insight that could advance the state of practice, especially for the Chinese company. Our re-search effort utilized case study research methodology. Through our in - depth analyses of several radical innovation projects in Chinese established firms, we got that how radical innovation should be managed. We present information and insight that we found, and offer a variety of recommendation for dealing with rad-ical innovation' s challenge. At last, we point how mature compa-ny can improve their capacity.
