摘要
林语堂的人文思想具有如下特征:以人和人生作为出发点和归宿,以真实的人生、人生实践和人生感悟作为立论的基础;总是用智慧去观照世界,区分美丑,确认价值,即以智慧为根本;古今中外,兼容并包,在各种文化体系中任意驰骋,在所谓“矛盾”、“对立”中自由出入;常识健全,且因看多了常识失落给人类文明带来的灾难后果,而热切呼唤其回归。因此,林语堂很独异,总是远离权威、成见和时尚。
The features of LIN Yu-tang's humanismistic thinking are as follows: man and life are considered as the starting-point and the outcome. Argumentation is based on reality, practice and perception in life. Wisdom is used to care about the world, distinguish between beauty and ugliness and assess the value, that is wisdom is the fundamental. Different culture systems, ancient, modern, domestic or foreign, can be accessed freely in spite of‘contradiction' or‘opp osites'.A return to sound common sense should be eagerly called for, because the loss of it has brought too many disasteres to the civilization of mankind. Therefore,LIN is quite unique and always keeps his distance from aut hority, preconception, and fashion.
