摘要
本文首先简要回顾了Lyons等人对意义关系的研究 ,指出其取得的成就及存在的缺陷和不足。然后对级别高于词的语言项目同级之间存在的意义关系以及不同级别的语言项目之间存在的意义关系进行了初步探讨。文章的结尾还就语境对意义的影响提出了自己的观点。
This article addresses sense relationship. The first part gives a brief survey of the research done by John Lyons and many other linguists in this field and points out their achievements and insufficiencies. The second and major part is dedicated to a tentative exploration into the sense relationship holding between the same level linguistic items hierarchically higher than words as well as the sense relationship between linguistic items across different levels. And at the end the present author puts forward his own viewpoint with regard to the influence of context upon the sense of linguistic items.
