大白菜种子休眠特性及其解除方法

摘要 在早熟大白菜的繁育种工作中发现大白菜种子有休眠特性。收获后10天的种子发芽率为33%-45%,至收获后40天达95%-97%,与贮葳一年的种子发芽率(97%-98%)相近。以发芽率高于80%为通过休眠的标准,则早熟5号和早熟6号大白菜的休眠期为35天。应用人工切割种皮法和冷冻处理法可有效地打破休眠期,可在大白菜种子调种时用于检测休眠种子的潜在发芽率。 The seeds of Chinese cabbage (Brassica campestris ssp. pekinensis) stored for 10, 25 and 40 days after harvest were used to study their dormancy characteristics. The results showed that the immediately harvested seeds of Chinese cabbage were in dormancy, with germination rate being only 33.41% (Zhaoshu 5) and 45.27% (Zhaoshu 6), respectively. The dormancy would spontaneously break down after 40 days storage and the germination rate increased to 95.42% (Zhaoshu 5) and 96.84% (Zhaoshu 6). Taking the germination rate higher than 80% as the criterium for the end of dormancy, the dormant period of Chinese cabbage seeds last 35 days. The dormancy could be effectively relieved by seed penetration and cold treatment, which could increase germination rate to 95.63% and 90.57%. Being simple and effective, these two methods could be widely applied by seed trade and mangement departments to test the potential germination rate of dormant seeds.
