摘要
今年是七七事变65周年。本刊特发表有关日本殖民统治和抗日战争的两篇文章（即本期第一、二篇）,以纪念中国全面抗战的开始,并示不忘国耻。
This essay discusses the establishment and the development of Japanese colonial policy and its special feature. The first part gives a description and analysis on the process of Japanese colonial-ists' dispute on deciding the 'position of Taiwan' and the establishment of the colonial policy. The second part describes how the policy was carried out and changed in Korea,explains the rea-son why the idea, advocated by the colonialists, of 'the coincidence of Japan and Korea' could not succeed. The last part elucidates the colonial nature of the so-called 'country', Man Zhouguo (in the northeast or China), and explains the changes of the colonial policy, especially analyses why the policy to be carried there in the early period was abolished finally.
