STUDIES ON DROUGHT RESISTANCE MECHANISM IN RICE

摘要 水稻品种抗旱性的强弱与叶片的超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)和过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性的升高呈正相关。4个品种不同生育期表现各异,但抗旱性强的品种,其SOD和CAT活性有随含水量降低而升高的趋势。3个生育期综合表现为远诱一号和IRAT109抗旱性强、汕优63和泸科三号抗旱性弱,这与生产实际相吻合。因此可用SOD和CAT活性来鉴别水分胁迫下水稻品种的抗旱性。 SOD and CAT activity in the leaves of four rice varieties with known drought resistance were estimated at the tillering stage, booting stage and heading-flowering stage under watcrstress conditions. Drought resistance was found to be positively related to the activity of SOD and CAT. lnspite of the differences in their performance at various stages, the four varieties showed a general trend that the activity of SOD and CAT tended to rise with the decline of water content in the plants of the varieties with higher drought resistance, with SOD and CAT activity as an indicator, Yuanwan 1 and IRAT 109 were identified as drought resistant and Shanyou 63 and Luke 3 as drought susceptible, which is in agreement with their practical performance in practical production. It is, thererore, concluded that SOD and CAT activity can be used to evaluate drought resistance of rice varieties in water stress conditons.
